I’m Nancy Cardoso, a surface pattern designer and illustrator creating warm, story-led collections inspired by everyday beauty, nostalgia and the natural world.
My creative journey began with Bonnie Christine’s Immersion course, where I discovered a passion for transforming ideas into repeating patterns. What started as a new creative adventure grew into a passion for building thoughtful collections designed for fabric, wallpaper, stationery, home décor and beautiful objects for everyday living.
My artwork comes to life in many ways — from hand-drawn sketches and photographs I take and digitally transform, to painted motifs and mixed-media techniques. These elements gradually evolve into cohesive collections filled with colour, detail and a touch of whimsy. I’m especially drawn to florals, nature, childhood nostalgia and those familiar little moments that make a place feel like home.
I hope my work brings warmth and joy to the products it becomes part of, creating designs people want to live with, use and remember.
